Senior Piping Designer

Lead Design & 3D Modeling:

• Spearhead complex 3D plant modeling using AVEVA E3D for large-scale metals and mining projects (e.g. concentrator plants crushing/grinding areas hydrometallurgical plants tailings disposal systems and slurry pumping stations).
  

• Develop optimal plot plans equipment layouts and pipe routing strategies adhering strictly to safety operability and constructability principles.
  

Catalog & Specification Management:

• Set up customize and manage E3D project catalogs specifications (Specs) and pipe support databases tailored to project requirements and international standards.
  

Drawing & Deliverable Production:

• Oversee and review the generation of accurate Piping General Arrangement (GA) drawings sections elevations and construction-ready piping isometrics out of E3D / ISODRAFT.
  

• Ensure high quality and accuracy of Piping Material Take-Offs (MTOs) and bulk material estimations.
  

Inter-Disciplinary & Multi-Office Coordination:

• Translate complex Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) into physical 3D routing configurations.
  

• Collaborate seamlessly with civil structural electrical and process engineering teams.
  

• Utilize AVEVA Review / Navisworks for comprehensive clash detection sessions design reviews and model health checks.
  

• Coordinate closely with pipe stress engineers to integrate critical spring guide and anchor support designs.
  

Team Leadership & Quality Assurance:

• Mentor guide and review the work of junior and mid-level piping designers.
  

• Ensure all engineering designs comply with relevant international codes and standards (e.g. ASME B31.1 B31.3 ISO) as well as client-specific specifications.
  

• Lead 30% 60% and 90% model review audits with clients and internal stakeholders.
  

Experience Required: 7 to 15 Years

Industry: Metals & Mining / Minerals Processing / Heavy Industrial EPC

Software Proficiency: AVEVA E3D (Everything3D) / AVEVA PDMS (Mandatory)

Qualification: Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Chemical Engineering
