Job Description

This role requires a highly skilled and experienced Senior Micro Focus Enterprise Server Administrator who manages configures and optimizes mainframe application rehosting environments (COBOL CICS DB2 MQ and JES) on Windows/Linux/Cloud platforms requiring 10 years of total experience with more than 5 years of relevant experience . The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Micro Focus administration activities such as Region management/configuration Security/User Management Monitoring Troubleshooting and maintenance & Upgrades.

Roles & Responsibilities

Administration & Configuration: Manage Microfocus Enterprise Server regions including Installationconfiguration changes user management and security settings.
Performance & Troubleshooting: Monitor system performance (e.g. Perfmon SCOM) and use diagnostic tools to resolve issues including database connectivity and file corruption.
Security & Compliance: Ensure compliance with security policies and manage access.
Installation & Upgrades: Install configure and upgrade Micro Focus Enterprise Server and Developer products in QA and Production environments.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelors or masters degree in computer science Information Technology or a related field.
Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of Micro Focus Enterprise Server COBOL CICS MQ DB2 and JES.
Develop automation scripts (e.g. Python PowerShell or Korn Shell) and workflows to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual maintenance tasks.
Troubleshooting & Support: Act as a high-level escalation point for complex technical issues utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and collaborating with Micro Focus Support line when necessary.
