Senior Manager Product Development

Position Summary: Milacronis looking for a Software Leader to join our team in Ahmedabad this position you will be responsible for leading India Software organization (Production & Development) and Support global Controls Youll Do:Own the software architecture and roadmap for machine control HMI and connected-equipment platforms across Milacrons product lines technical standards for code quality testing security and documentation across the India software organization in alignment with global controls modernization initiatives e.g. migration to updated control platforms cloud/IIoT connectivity and data-driven machine intelligence and guide system architecture decisions for embedded (PLC/motion control/real-time) and application-layer lead and mentor a team of software engineers firmware developers and QA engineers in and manage hiring plans career development paths and performance management for the a culture of ownership engineering excellence and continuous as the primary point of contact for the India software team within Milacrons global engineering organization to continue to standardize controls and with Product Management and Global Engineering to translate product requirements into software software delivery timelines working within Agile/Scrum or hybrid development frameworks suited to industrial hardware-software vendor and contractor relationships as needed for specialized software compliance with relevant industry standards (e.g. IEC 61508/61131 cybersecurity standards Safetysuch as IEC 62443) where applicable to machine closely with mechanical electrical and controls hardware engineering teams to ensure tight integration between software and machine with global counterparts (US/Europe) across time zones to align architecture priorities and release customer-facing teams (service applications engineering) with troubleshooting escalations and field issue resolution. Support and work closely with Validation group for new releases production and NPD and maintain country specific applicable machine/product safety certifications and upcoming new EU machine regulation (CE) and EU cyber resiliend act (CRA).Work closely with US on NFPA/UL and other standardsQualifications:Bachelors or masters degree in mechanical Computer Science Electrical/Electronic Engineering Computer Engineering or related field.15-20 years of engineering experience with at least 12 years in a people leadership or engineering management background in one or more of: embedded systems real-time/industrial control software HMI development or industrial with languages such as C/C C# or Python; familiarity with PLC programming languages (Ladder Logic Structured Text) is a experience managing distributed/global engineering teams ideally within a manufacturing industrial equipment or automation communication skills with the ability to operate effectively across global cross-cultural teams and time Demands To perform this job successfully the physical demands listed are representative of those that must be met by an employee.
