Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Manager Finance & Accounts to lead financial operations reporting compliance and strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate will have strong exposure to capital markets or broking environments with the ability to drive insights ensure regulatory compliance and streamline financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Manage monthly closing activities and ensure timely finalization of books
- Prepare Monthly MIS reports and present actionable insights to management
- Develop custom reports and dashboards for KPIs including:
- Brokerage income analysis
- Proprietary trading P&L
- Client-level profitability
- Margin utilisation
- Costincome ratios
- Conduct trend analysis and financial forecasting
Accounting & Process Management
- Guide and supervise team members in daily accounting and compliance activities
- Streamline and improve accounting reporting processes SOPs RCMs and DOA frameworks
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness in financial data across departments
Compliance & Regulatory
- Ensure compliance with GST TDS and Income Tax regulations
- Oversee SEBI/Exchange filings including:
- Net Worth reporting
- ARF submissions
- Half-yearly compliance returns
- Client-level segregation reports
- Ensure adherence to Ind AS standards particularly Division III of Companies Act 2013
Audit & Governance
- Coordinate with statutory and internal auditors
- Prepare and finalize financial statements (quarterly annual ad-hoc)
- Draft and respond to statutory notices with accurate financial data
Business Finance & Strategy
- Partner with business heads across:
- Retail Broking
- Institutional Desk
- Algo Trading
- Proprietary Trading
- Provide financial insights and decision support
- Support evaluation of new business opportunities acquisitions and cross-border ventures
Systems & Automation
- Lead implementation and optimization of ERP / advanced accounting systems tailored for broking/trading operations
- Drive automation and efficiency in financial processes
Treasury & Controls
- Monitor and optimize tax positions in derivatives and proprietary trading
- Provide second-level approval for daily payment transactions ensuring:
- Accuracy o Compliance
- Alignment with internal financial policies
Requirements
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 4 years of post-qualification experience
- Strong experience in Stock Broking / Capital Markets / Real Estate industry preferred
- In-depth knowledge of: o Financial reporting & MIS o SEBI and exchange regulations o Ind AS & Companies Act compliance
- Experience in handling audits taxation and regulatory filings
- Proficiency in ERP systems and financial analytics tools (Excel Power BI etc.)
- Strong leadership stakeholder management and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to trading environments (Derivatives / Proprietary Trading)
- Ability to interpret complex financial data into business insights
- Experience in process automation and digital transformation initiatives
