Team: Airbus India - Engineering Methods & Tools

About the team:

We are a transverse team working with different core engineering verticals in Airbus. The USP of this team is working in a multi-functional environment providing digital solutions to engineering problems. The team is composed of people with Core Engineering domain knowledge complemented by software development skills. The team plays an enabler role in various digitization initiatives across Airbus utilizing the latest technologies and the domain knowledge they have.

Some examples of the digital solutions are Data driven designs of wiring Automated routing electrical harnesses Data Analytics based products aimed at reducing physical tests of material specimens. We are also involved in developing web-based solutions to encapsulate and automate different workflows such as flight test planning business management addition to these developing tools for Electrical Wiring Harness and Hydraulic Circuit design process improvements. Some of the tools developed are used in the areas of Aircraft Safety analysis and Engineering Business Data monitoring etc.

We are seeking a talented Full Stack Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Full Stack Data Engineer you will play a crucial role in designing developing and maintaining our data infrastructure and systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement scalable data solutions that drive actionable insights and support our business objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop robust data pipelines to collect clean transform and store data from diverse sources.

• Build scalable data models and databases to support applications analytics and reporting.

• Implement efficient ETL processes to ensure data quality and integrity.

• Develop APIs and microservices for seamless data integration across platforms.

• Optimize and tune databases and queries for maximum performance and reliability.

• Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field (Masters degree preferred).

• 8 years of experience as a Full Stack Data Engineer or similar role.

• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python Java or Scala.

• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g. MySQL PostgreSQL MongoDB).

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g. Docker Kubernetes).

• Familiarity with data streaming technologies (e.g. Kafka Spark Streaming).

• Solid understanding of front-end technologies (e.g. JavaScript HTML5 CSS) and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g. React Angular Vue).

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

• Ability to demonstrate effectiveness in holding conversations with customers in a customer-centric outreach.

• Demonstrate ability to work as a team in a highly collaborative environment.

• Ability to coordinate the efforts of a large team of diverse specialists & experts.
