Job Title: Network Security Engineer

Job Summary:A Network Security Engineer is responsible for designing implementing managing and monitoring an organizations network security infrastructure to protect systems data and network resources from cyber threats unauthorized access and security breaches.

• Design implement and maintain network security solutions such as firewalls VPNs IDS/IPS and web application firewalls.
• Monitor network traffic and security events using SIEM tools.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and security audits.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents and breaches.
• Configure and manage security policies access controls and network segmentation.
• Ensure compliance with organizational security standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Manage endpoint and perimeter security technologies.
• Collaborate with IT infrastructure and application teams to strengthen security posture.
• Develop and maintain network security documentation procedures and standards.
• Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats vulnerabilities and industry best practices.

• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP DNS DHCP Routing and Switching.
• Experience with Firewalls (Cisco ASA Palo Alto Check Point Fortinet etc.).
• Hands-on experience with IDS/IPS NAC VPN Proxy and WAF solutions.
• Knowledge of SIEM platforms such as Splunk QRadar Sentinel or ArcSight.
• Understanding of network protocols and packet analysis tools (Wireshark).
• Familiarity with cloud security (Azure AWS Google Cloud).
• Knowledge of vulnerability management tools such as Nessus Qualys or Rapid7.
• Experience with security frameworks such as NIST ISO 27001 and CIS Controls.
