Key responsibilities:
Collaborate cross-functionally with production engineering quality and maintenance teams to identify automation opportunities.
Prepare the specification Lead the planning execution and delivery of lean and semi-automation projects in co-ordination with external partners / specialists
Act as the primary point of contact between internal stakeholders and external automation solution providers (OEMs integrators etc.).
Develop detailed project plans timelines and budgets; monitor progress to ensure timely and within-budget delivery.
Ensure smooth integration of automation solutions into existing processes and systems.
Drive lean principles and continuous improvement culture throughout automation projects.
Facilitate trials validations and handovers to the production team.
Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation plans as necessary.
Track project KPIs and report regularly to leadership on progress and outcomes.
Required profile:
Min of 510 years of experience in automation project management within manufacturing engineering or industrial environments.
Proven track record of delivering semi-automated and lean automation solutions
Exposure to work with automation specialised companies in China is a plus
Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles process optimization and industrial automation technologies.
Experience working directly with shop floor/production teams and managing vendors or external partners.
Excellent project management skills ability to juggle multiple projects and stakeholders.
Familiarity with tools like MS Project AutoCAD SolidWorks or other project planning/engineering tools is a plus.
Strong communication problem-solving and negotiation skills.
