Senior Electrical Engineer

Requisition Summary:

PACCAR India is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Pune with a strong focus on wiring harness design and development for commercial vehicles. As a Senior Electrical Engineer at PACCAR you will be responsible for CAD routing harness drawing creation installation drawing development and coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure successful design execution and integration. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across engineering manufacturing and validation to deliver high-quality solutions that meet program requirements and industry standards.

Job Function / Responsibilities:

• Develop concepts for wiring harness routing.
• Perform load analysis and voltage drop calculations.
• Select appropriate connectors for both High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) wiring harness systems.
• Demonstrate knowledge of electric vehicle architecture and associated components.
• Design routing clamping fixation and insulation strategies for HV and LV cables.
• Conduct technical reviews in collaboration with all stakeholders.
• Provide support for component and part development activities.
• Create schematics 2D wiring harness designs and installation drawings.
• Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues effectively.
• Coordinate and interact with suppliers for technical requirements.
• Engage with customers and internal teams for technical discussions and alignment.
• Prepare detailed wiring harness installation drawings.

Qualification:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering

Required Skills:

• 4-7 years of related experience in automotive wiring harness design and development.

• Knowledge about wiring harness child parts & its selection
• Must have extensive Knowledge of automotive electrical circuit schematics.
• Must have knowledge of electrical wiring harness manufacturing.
• Good knowledge of SAE J1939.
• Exposure to cross-functional projects with basic understanding of mechanical design for fixation of wiring harnesses.
• Knowledge of auto electrical global standards & testing methods
• Software Skills: Saber NX10.0 Siemens Team centre
