Senior Demand Planner

Location: Bangalore India
Reports To: Director Global Demand Planning
Industry: Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)

Position Summary

The Senior Demand Planner is responsible for managing the demand forecast for BESS products and converting this into an allocated Production Plan. This role is a key link between Commercial Product Management Finance Supply Chain and Manufacturing teams to establish a single trusted view of demand that drives planning and operations.

The ideal candidate possesses strong demand planning experience within project-based manufacturing environments and has a deep understanding of customer forecasting sales pipeline analysis and consensus planning processes. Experience in the BESS renewable energy energy infrastructure electrical equipment or related industries is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Demand Planning & Forecasting

• Develop and maintain demand forecasts across customers products and regions.
• Consolidate forecast project pipeline and market intel into a single demand plan partnering with Sales and Product Management.
• Communicate business impacts and planning assumptions to stakeholders.

Commercial & S&OP Alignment

• Lead demand reviews within the S&OP / IBP process.
• Generate unconstrained Production Plan partnering with Contract Manufacturing.
• Drive alignment across Commercial Finance Supply Planning and Operations.
• Resolve forecast gaps and escalate significant risks and opportunities.

Analytics & Continuous Improvement

• Analyze forecast accuracy demand variability and market trends.
• Develop demand scenarios to support business and capacity planning.
• Deliver executive reporting dashboards and actionable insights.
• Improve planning processes tools data quality and forecasting methodologies.
