Senior Business Analyst Investment Banking

We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst with expertise in Compliance Trade Surveillance in the Investment Banking sector to serve as a liaison between business and IT teams. The successful candidate will examine business workflows collect requirements and develop practical solutions that support strategic objectives while maintaining compliance and operational effectiveness.

• Identify necessary IT business solutions and support their implementation
• Perform requirements-gathering through internal and external data sources including interviews with stakeholders
• Develop practical software solutions to resolve business challenges keeping the strategic future-state model in mind
• Create functional solutions backed by comprehensive data analysis
• Serve as the main liaison between business users and the technology team throughout all project phases
• Support quality control and project management efforts

• 7-10 years of IT experience overall including several years designing and developing enterprise software in distributed environments within financial services ideally involving investment banking and compliance projects
• Knowledge of capital markets and asset classes such as Equities Fixed Income FX and their derivatives
• Background working with compliance trade surveillance tools such as SMARTS Trading Hub and Actimize
• Proficiency in business analysis methods including translating technical requirements into effective solutions
• Competence in data analysis and querying including SQL to support requirements gathering
• Exposure to Cloud platforms Azure preferred particularly in Data Ingestion Data Cleansing and Data Egress
• Knowledge of Agile delivery practices including prior experience as a Scrum Master
• Ability to produce clear detailed and professional requirements and functional design documents
• Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to adjust tone and style based on the audience
• Enthusiasm for technology and the development of IT systems and applications
• Adaptability to collaborate across varied teams functions and cultures
• Demonstrated skill in facilitating issue resolution and willingness to work beyond defined role boundaries to achieve results
