Senior Backend Developer

Nordavo is looking for a Senior Backend Developer or an ambitious medior developer ready to grow into a senior position for a Dutch SaaS company in the financial services sector.

The company develops a platform used daily by thousands of professionals to collaborate automate routine processes and manage their work in real time.

At this scale stability performance and maintainable architecture are essential. You will work from Nordavos modern office in Indiranagar Bangalore while contributing directly to an international SaaS product.

What you will do

You will have a genuine say in the technical direction of the platform. The architecture is mature but continues to evolve as the platform grows.

Develop safeguard and improve the backend architecture

Refactor and modernise existing codebases

Solve complex technical and production issues

Improve performance security stability and scalability

Write unit integration and end to end tests

Contribute actively to CI/CD processes

Estimate technical impact within Agile sprints

Take ownership of components and technical improvements

Support the team during incidents following releases

The team releases several times a day. Something you build in the morning could be live that same afternoon. This means short feedback loops quick decisions and a direct impact on the product.

Professional experience with PHP and modern backend architecture

Experience with Laravel or a comparable modern PHP framework

The ability to analyze and improve an existing codebase

Experience with performance optimization and scalability

Confidence working in an Agile development environment

The ability to take ownership of components and technical decisions

Experience writing automated tests

A structured approach to investigating complex production issues

You dont stop when a problem fails to match the documentation. You are comfortable investigating issues such as race conditions locking concurrency asynchronous processing synchronization problems and queue related edge cases.
