Senior Accounting Manager-US
Job Summary
Your job duties will include:
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Lead all accounting operations for US entities in accordance with US GAAP and company policies.
- Oversee the monthly quarterly and annual financial close processes.
- Review and analyse financial statements reconciliations and supporting schedules.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of management reports and financial reporting packages.
- Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes controls and reporting procedures.
Core Accounting Functions
Manage and oversee:
- Accounts Payable and Vendor Management
- Customer Billing and Accounts Receivable
- Revenue Recognition and Project Accounting
- Bank and Credit Card Reconciliations
- General Ledger Maintenance
- Fixed Assets Accounting
- Financial Reporting and Consolidation
Tax & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with US federal state and local tax requirements
- Coordinate preparation with external tax preparer and review of corporate tax filings including 1120 supporting schedules and state tax returns.
- Prepare 1099s and 1042 as needed with our inhouse tax accountant
- Review other statutory filings tax returns and corporate records related to the US entity including the Philippines VAT filings
Audit Management
- Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors.
- Coordinate annual financial statement audits and other compliance reviews.
- Prepare audit schedules and ensure timely resolution of audit queries.
- Strengthen internal controls and mitigate financial reporting risks.
Leadership & Strategic Finance
- Lead mentor and develop accounting team members.
- Establish performance expectations and drive accountability within the team.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Support budgeting forecasting financial planning and business decision-making.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to improve business processes and financial performance.
Qualifications :
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- Active CPA (US) License or India Chartered Accountant.
- Masters degree in Accounting Finance or Business Administration or CMA is preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
- Minimum 35 years of experience managing and leading accounting teams.
- Strong experience handling accounting operations for US-based entities.
- Experience working in multinational or global organisations is preferred.
Technical Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
- Experience with US corporate tax compliance and reporting.
- Strong understanding of internal controls audits and compliance frameworks.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
- Experience with Xero or Microsoft Dynamics is preferred
