Senior Accountant Commercial Finance
Job Summary
The Opportunity:
Opportunity to work closely with India Commercial team to drive the growth agenda for the BU. This role balances commercial Finance with Financial controlling driving FP&A accounting & taxation and financial controls. As a key member of APAC Finance team work closely with Regional Finance and Commercial teams.
What Your Impact Will Be:
1. Commercial Finance:
- Evaluate the financial impact of discounts pricing proposals and promotional offers submitted by Sales team.
- Leading the quarterly rolling forecast and Annual Budgeting process
- Review of YTD spend vs latest forecast and variance analysis
- Support the bi-annual pricing exercise
2. Month end Financial closing:
- Lead the month-end closing activities for India business unit and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting including commentary vs Forecast & Budget
- Manage fixed asset accounting in coordination with Shared Services team.
3. Statutory Audit & Compliance
- Lead statutory audit engagements by preparing statutory financial statements supporting schedules and audit documentation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors coordinating audit requests and resolving queries efficiently.
- Ensure timely completion of Tax Audit and Transfer Pricing Audit in compliance with statutory regulations.
- Support year-end tax provisioning in accordance with US GAAP.
4. Inventory Valuation:
- Perform monthly inventory valuation and related account reconciliations to ensure inventory balances are accurate and fully reconciled
- Monthly costing reconciliation is prepared and signed off
- Annual Standard cost updation in ERP
5. Advertising & Promotion (A&P) Accounting
- Record month-end accruals for Advertising & Promotion expenses in accordance with US GAAP and forecasts.
- Review open purchase order commitments with the Marketing team to determine
Qualifications :
What Were Looking For:
Education & Experience
- Chartered Accountant with Industry experience
- 8-10 years of experience including exposure to:
- Manufacturing or Retail organization MNC experience preferred
- Financial Controlling Statutory Audit Sales Finance or Manufacturing Finance.
- Knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards
Capabilities & Character
- Ability to work as individual contributor
- Proven ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders
- Fluency in English and Hindi
- Advanced MS Office proficiency Oracle or any other ERP Hyperion
- A collaborative partner comfortable working in a matrix organization
- Detail-oriented organized and deadline-driven
- Passionate about numbers and toys!
