SDE 3 Android

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer (SDE-3) to join our mobile engineering team. You will take ownership of building high-quality mobile experiences using the Flutter framework while driving technical decisions across native modules on Android and iOS when required.

In this role you will work closely with Product Design Backend and engineering leadership to define design and ship scalable mobile capabilities while contributing to the core banking platform used across the organization.

You will take ownership of mobile architecture complex technical problems and platform-level improvements while raising engineering standards and enabling the team to build reliable and high-performing mobile experiences.

• Partner with Product UX/UI Backend and engineering leadership to analyse complex requirements define technical solutions and build consumer-facing features.

• Drive the design and development of reusable Flutter components libraries and shared modules that improve engineering efficiency across teams.

• Own and evolve scalable mobile architectures making sound technical decisions around modularization maintainability testability and long-term platform health.

• Drive continuous integration and delivery practices with QA and platform teams to improve release stability reliability and engineering velocity.

• Own mobile application performance and reliability identifying systemic issues across rendering memory startup time networking and device behaviour.

• Lead the debugging and resolution of complex production issues including performance bottlenecks crashes memory leaks and issues spanning Flutter and native layers.

• Raise the engineering bar through design reviews code reviews technical mentoring and driving engineering best practices across the mobile team.

• Evaluate and drive adoption of Flutter ecosystem tools libraries native technologies and platform improvements that strengthen the mobile engineering foundation.

• 5-8 years of experience building mobile applications with a strong foundation and hands on experience in Android Kotlin and Kotlin Coroutines along with recent hands on experience working with Flutter and Dart

• Experience with AI SDLC.

• Strong experience designing and evolving scalable maintainable and modular mobile architectures.

• Deep understanding of Flutter framework widgets layouts navigation using navigation 2.0 or gorouter and state management approaches such as Bloc Provider Riverpod GetX etc.

• Strong experience with Platform/method channels and integrating Flutter applications with native Android and iOS frameworks.

• Strong experience integrating RESTful APIs and handling JSON-based client-server communication at scale.

• Strong debugging and performance engineering skills including identifying rendering bottlenecks memory leaks crashes startup issues and device-specific problems using Flutter developer tools.

• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming Data Structures and Algorithms.

• Strong understanding of mobile design patterns such as MVVM and Clean Architecture with the ability to make architecture decisions based on product and engineering requirements.

• Strong experience writing unit widget and integration tests and building applications with a focus on reliability and testability.

• Experience working in Agile development environments and using tools such as Jira or similar project management systems.

• Strong understanding of mobile UX principles responsive UI design and building high-quality consumer mobile experiences.

• Strong hands-on experience with Android (Kotlin) or iOS (Swift) native modules is a plus.
