SAP Transportation Management (TM) Consultant

The Opportunity

As an SAP TM Consultant you will strategically align technology with business objectives. This involves direct collaboration with clients as the clients trusted advisor and oversee the analysis design and implementation of technology best practices for effective business solutions.

The role will include but not be limited to:

Collaborate closely with clients providing valuable assistance in the implementation of cutting-edge SAP systems.

Execute the build testing and deployment phases emphasizing Life Science best practices and innovative customer processes within SAP S/4 HANA environment.

Your Experience

First and foremost you are a genuine Management Consultant with exceptional communication skills the ability to see the bigger picture and a collaborative approach to creating exceptional solutions. You will also have relevant SAP skills including:

Experience Level: Minimum of 7 years of experience working with Transportation Management (TM).

Communication Skills: Ability to articulate logistics and transportation management issues in a way that aligns with business language.

Global Template Delivery: Capability to drive TM solutions as part of a global template; previous experience in this area is a plus.

Design Insight: Skilled in considering different design approaches and documenting them effectively including applications from non-SAP ecosystems and 3PL/4PL integrations.

Transportation Management (TM) Specific Skills:

o Order-based and delivery-based planning.

o Freight order and booking management including manual and automated execution and use of Optimizer.

o Proficiency in managing freight agreements rate tables scales and charges.

o Integration capabilities with EWM MM FI and other components.

o Freight settlement process expertise.

o 3PL/4PL integration knowledge.

o Output management and workflows with contributions to WRICEF items.

o Familiarity with S/4HANA embedded and hub deployment including LSP/shipper scenarios.

A proven track record in a Big 4 Major SI or specialist SAP Consulting Firm would be preferred.

Experience in Life Sciences or process manufacturing industries particularly in sectors such as pharmaceutical medical devices medical manufacturing and chemicals would be advantageous.
