Job Summary

Our client a leading global Healthcare seeks an SAP RAR Consultant which involves leading the design implementation and optimization of SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) and Event-Based Revenue Recognition (EBRR) solutions. The role requires extensive expertise in SAP RAR SAP SD SAP FI and SAP S/4HANA to support complex revenue accounting processes ensure compliance with IFRS 15 and ASC 606 standards and deliver high-quality SAP HANA FIN FI solutions while providing trusted business and technical guidance to stakeholders.

This is a contractual role which will run through the end of 2026 with likelihood of extension. The candidate must be flexible to work in the clients preferred working hours which will be the CEST time zone.

The Role.

Lead the design configuration and implementation of SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) solutions aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Implement and configure Event-Based Revenue Recognition (EBRR) within SAP S/4HANA for real-time revenue accounting processes.
Translate IFRS 15 and ASC 606 revenue recognition requirements into scalable SAP system configurations.
Design contract-based revenue recognition models performance obligations (POBs) standalone selling price (SSP) determination and revenue allocation logic.
Configure and integrate SAP RAR with SAP SD and SAP FI to support end-to-end order-to-cash processes.
Develop and maintain BRF rules for revenue accounting determination and business process automation.
Configure contract modifications multi-element arrangements and revenue allocation scenarios.
Support data migration validation and reconciliation activities between legacy systems and SAP RAR.
Configure event-based postings for sales orders deliveries billing documents and fulfillment events.
Ensure seamless financial integration with the Universal Journal (ACDOCA).
Support the transition from traditional revenue recognition processes to Event-Based Revenue Recognition.
Collaborate with cross-functional business and technical teams to deliver high-quality SAP solutions aligned with industry best practices.
Provide functional expertise troubleshooting and solution recommendations throughout the implementation lifecycle.
Prepare functional documentation conduct knowledge transfer sessions and support user acceptance testing.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of hands-on SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) experience with strong expertise in solution design configuration and integration with SAP FI SAP SD and/or SAP BRIM.
Minimum two full lifecycle SAP RAR implementation projects including RAR migration experience.
Strong understanding of Order-to-Cash (OTC) business processes and integration across SAP SD and SAP FI/CO.
Experience implementing Event-Based Revenue Recognition (EBRR) in SAP S/4HANA environments.
In-depth knowledge of IFRS 15 ASC 606 revenue recognition processes and financial accounting principles.
Experience configuring revenue allocation SSP determination performance obligations contract modifications and multi-element arrangements.
Strong experience with BRF framework configuration and business rule development.
Working knowledge of SAP HANA Finance Universal Journal (ACDOCA) COPA and SAP BRIM processes.
Experience supporting legacy data migration reconciliation and revenue accounting validation activities.
Demonstrated project leadership and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams while delivering detailed functional designs aligned with industry best practices.
Previous experience supporting clients within high-tech software or similarly complex enterprise environments.
Excellent analytical problem-solving verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with business stakeholders and executive management.
Experience preparing business requirements functional specifications solution documentation management presentations and implementation proposals.

Preferred Qualifications.

Experience in healthcare industry SAP implementations.
SAP S/4HANA Finance and SAP RAR certifications are highly desirable.
Experience working in global consulting environments supporting distributed client teams.
Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and SAP Activate implementation approach.

Required Skills:

10 years of experience delivering SAP implementation and transformation programs Proven experience leading at least 23 full lifecycle SAP implementations preferably SAP S/4HANA Strong understanding of SAP implementation methodologies (SAP Activate Agile Waterfall Hybrid delivery models) Experience managing global deployments and enterprise-scale transformation initiatives Strong expertise across business process design solution deployment and operational readiness Experience coordinating cross-functional teams including Business IT Data Testing Change and Integration workstreams Hands-on understanding of SAP functional landscapes and integration across enterprise applications Experience supporting cutover planning hypercare stabilization and transition management Familiarity with testing governance defect management and release execution processes Excellent stakeholder engagement workshop facilitation and executive communication skills Consulting experience within Healthcare Pharma Life Sciences or regulated environments preferred Strong accounting and finance background with experience working closely with CFO organizations and finance stakeholders Experience supporting ECC to SAP S/4HANA system upgrades with significant Finance (FI/CO) transformation components
