Job Title: SAP Data Migration BODS Lead Location: Bengaluru/Hyderabad/Pune India Employment Type: Full-time / Contract
Role Overview/Job Responsibilities
The Data Migration Lead is responsible for leading end-to-end data migration activities for SAP S/4HANA transformation programs M&A Org split etc. This role oversees data object scoping ETL development using SAP BODS data quality assurance and migration execution ensuring alignment with enterprise data governance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Define and execute data migration strategy scope and methodology
Lead data object identification scoping and mapping workshops with business stakeholders
Oversee ETL development and execution using SAP BODS (extraction transformation and loading)
Data Validation files preparation
Ensure data quality through profiling cleansing validation and reconciliation processes
Manage migration cycles including testing cutover planning and go-live execution
Coordinate with functional technical and vendor teams to ensure timely delivery
Drive defect management issue resolution and post-load validation activities
Required Skills & Experience
Strong expertise in SAP BODS and data migration methodologies
Experience in SAP S/4HANA migration tools (Migration Cockpit / ETL frameworks)
Good understanding of SAP data domains (e.g. Material Master Business Partner Procurement Manufacturing Sales Procurement and Finance)
Proven experience in leading large-scale data migration programs
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in global SAP transformation programs
Exposure to data quality and cleansing tools/frameworks
Familiarity with enterprise data governance practices
