SAP BTP Integration & Build Apps Specialist

Position Description:

S/4HANA AMS Support (L2/L3)

. Provide ongoing support for BTP applications integrated with S/4HANA.
. Troubleshoot functional and technical issues impacting business processes.
. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for integration authentication or data issues.
. Resolve incidents within SLA and KPI targets.
. Support monthly releases hotfixes and transport management.
. Collaborate with S/4HANA functional ABAP BASIS and security teams.

SAP Build Apps Development & Enhancements

. Design and enhance applications using SAP Build Apps.
. Build mobile and web applications extending S/4HANA processes.
. Consume S/4HANA OData and REST APIs.
. Implement business logic using Build Apps logic flows.
. Configure role-based access and authorization concepts.
. Optimize UI/UX and performance for business users.

SAP BTP Architecture & Extension Strategy

. Develop side-by-side extensions aligned with S/4HANA clean-core principles.
. Configure and manage: Cloud Foundry environment Destination Service Connectivity Service XSUAA Cloud Identity Services (IAS/IPS) Cloud Connector
. Support secure connectivity between BTP and S/4HANA.
. Participate in defining BTP governance and extension strategy.

Integration & API Management

. Work with: OData (V2/V4) REST APIs SAP Integration Suite (CPI) preferred
. Implement secure authentication (OAuth2 SAML certificates).
. Monitor API performance and handle error management.
. Support event-driven scenarios (Event Mesh preferred).

Governance & Continuous Improvement

. Define Build Apps development standards.
. Improve application stability and reduce recurring issues.
. Maintain technical documentation and operational runbooks.
. Ensure audit compliance and security standards are met.
. Mentor junior developers and support team members.

Experience

. 812 years of SAP experience.
. 35 years of hands-on SAP BTP experience.
. Strong experience with SAP Build Apps.
. Proven experience in S/4HANA AMS or managed services environments.
. Strong understanding of S/4HANA business processes (FI MM SD etc. preferred).
. Experience working in SLA-driven support environments.
. Strong understanding of clean-core extensibility concepts.
. Experience in RISE with SAP environments preferred.
. Exposure to SAP Build Process Automation preferred
. Experience with CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model) preferred.
. Experience supporting global S/4HANA rollouts preferred.


Certifications (Preferred)
SAP BTP or SAP Build certification.
