What work you will be responsible for:

Position Overview:

EisnerAmper has an immediate career opportunity for anIndependence Department Manager(part of the Firms Risk Management group). In this role you will work closely with the Independence Department team to maintainfirm-wide compliance with independence regulationsand strengthen our System of Quality Management. The Manager oversees key independence policies and control processes requiresdeep knowledge of regulatory independence requirements and serves as a link between our India team and broader global risk management efforts.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee Independence Processes & Controls:Lead day-to-day execution of independence control activities and reporting requirements to ensure compliance with relevant external regulations (e.g. SEC PCAOB AICPA DOL) and internal firm policies.

  • Conflict Checks & Due Diligence:Supervise independence due-diligence processes especially forclient acceptance and M&A transactions byresearching and identifying client affiliate relationshipsto support timely and accurate conflict checking. Promptly escalate and address any high-risk independence issues.

  • Team Leadership & Development:Manage and coach junior Independence Department staff setting performance expectations and providing ongoing feedback training and mentorship. Conduct performance reviews and guide employees professional development to build a high-performing independence compliance team.

  • Process Improvement & Innovation:Identify opportunities forprocess improvements in independence and risk management workflows. Propose and implement enhancements (including automation andtechnology solutions) thatincrease efficiency data accuracy and qualityin independence-check processes while mitigating risk.

  • Global Collaboration:Work in coordination withEisnerAmper US Risk Management/Independence teamto ensure consistent application of independence policies. Engage in periodic calls or reviews with global colleagues to maintain alignment on policy changes and best practices and support a seamlessglobal independence compliance framework.

Ideally youll also have:
  • Proven ability to handle multiple competing priorities while maintaining a high level of work quality and meticulous attention to detail.

  • Excellentorganizational and interpersonal skills with the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively toward project completion.

  • Outstanding communication skills including the ability to articulate complex regulatory issues clearly and with impact to diverse stakeholders (from junior staff to senior leadership).

  • Leadership and coaching abilities with experience guiding and developing teams or colleagues.

  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office; familiarity withindependence monitoring systems or data management tools(such as relationship databases or SharePoint) is a plus.

  • A proactive mindset comfortable challenging current practices championing continuous improvement and adapting to changes in the regulatory environment.

Basic Qualifications:
  • 6 years of relevant experiencein apublic accounting firm or other regulatory/compliance environment including hands-onexperience interpreting and applying auditor independence rules.

  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university (in accounting finance or a related field preferred).

  • Professional certification such asCPA CA or equivalent(desired).
