Job Summary
Day-to-Day Production
Prepare and review year-end statutory accounts under FRS 102 1A and FRS 105
Prepare and submit corporation tax computations and returns
Prepare and submit VAT returns on standard and other schemes
Prepare partnership and sole trader accounts
Submit RTI payroll filings and manage PAYE obligations
Handle Companies House compliance and filing
Team Leadership
Build manage and be accountable for a growing team of accountants and bookkeepers
Review check and sign off work before it goes to clients
Mentor and coach budding accountants through their professional development
Set and maintain standard operating procedures across all service lines
Manage workload allocation and ensure deadlines are met
Quality and Communication
Own the quality assurance process: review standards error tracking continuous improvement
Communicate professionally with UK clients accountants and business owners
Handle escalations and complex queries with confidence
Provide regular operational updates to the senior management and clients

Required Skills:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field Proven experience as a Software Engineer or similar role Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java C or Python Experience with software development tools and methodologies Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Good communication and teamwork abilities
