Job Summary
- Identify evaluate and onboard qualified suppliers for raw materials used in pharmaceutical production.
- Negotiate favorable pricing delivery schedules and contractual terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and supply continuity.
- Monitor market trends raw material availability and pricing fluctuations to proactively mitigate supply chain risks.
- Ensure all raw materials meet quality standards and regulatory requirements (GMP FDA ISO etc.) through thorough documentation and supplier audits.
- Maintain accurate procurement records including purchase orders contracts and supplier performance metrics.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance R&D and Production teams to align procurement activities with product development and manufacturing timelines.
- Manage supplier performance through regular evaluations KPI tracking and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare and submit procurement reports forecasts and budget analyses to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies regulatory frameworks and ethical sourcing practices.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Pharmacy Chemistry Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- 25 years of experience in procurement preferably within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
- Strong understanding of GMP FDA and ISO standards applicable to pharmaceutical raw materials.
- Proficiency in procurement software ERP systems (e.g. SAP) and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent negotiation communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced regulated environment.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a commitment to compliance and quality.
- Willingness to travel locally and occasionally to supplier facilities for audits or assessments.
Required Skills:
Requirements CA with 20 years of experience in manufacturing finance (Pharmaceuticals mandatory). Proven expertise in multi-location financial management and compliance. Strong leadership analytical and stakeholder-management capabilities. High integrity strategic mindset and the ability to influence business outcomes. Mandatory: Female candidates aged 5053 years.
