Job Summary
- Lead and manage a team of QA engineers providing guidance performance feedback and career development opportunities.
- Design implement and maintain comprehensive test strategies and quality assurance processes for complex software products.
- Develop and oversee automation frameworks for functional regression performance and security testing using industry-standard tools (e.g. Selenium Cypress JUnit TestNG Postman).
- Collaborate with Product Managers Developers and DevOps teams to define acceptance criteria conduct test planning and ensure quality is embedded throughout the SDLC.
- Drive continuous improvement in testing efficiency coverage and defect detection through data-driven insights and process optimization.
- Establish and enforce quality metrics and KPIs to monitor testing effectiveness and product reliability.
- Conduct root cause analysis for critical defects and work with engineering teams to implement preventive measures.
- Ensure compliance with security regulatory and industry standards (e.g. GDPR ISO 27001) in all testing activities.
- Stay abreast of emerging QA trends tools and technologies to drive innovation in testing practices.
- Represent QA in cross-functional planning sprint planning and release readiness meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field; advanced degree or certifications (ISTQB CSTE CQA) are a plus.
- 10 years of progressive experience in software quality assurance with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Proven experience leading QA teams in agile/Scrum environments with strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Expertise in test automation frameworks scripting languages (e.g. Python JavaScript) and testing tools (Selenium Appium JMeter Postman).
- Deep understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) testing methodologies (manual automated exploratory regression integration) and defect lifecycle management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication leadership and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS Azure) and containerized environments (Docker Kubernetes) is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with API testing performance testing and security testing best practices.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced evolving technology environment with a focus on innovation and continuous delivery.
