Job Summary

  • Develop and execute comprehensive inventory management strategies to balance service levels with inventory cost optimization.
  • Lead end-to-end demand planning and supply planning processes utilizing advanced forecasting models and ERP systems.
  • Monitor and analyze inventory turnover ratios carrying costs safety stock levels and obsolescence rates; implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to align inventory planning with seasonal demand promotional cycles and new product launches.
  • Drive cost control initiatives by identifying and eliminating waste reducing overstock and improving inventory accuracy through cycle counting and reconciliation.
  • Partner with procurement and logistics to optimize replenishment cycles reduce lead times and improve supplier performance.
  • Prepare and present detailed KPIs and performance reports on inventory accuracy fill rates forecast accuracy and cost savings to senior management.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control policies SOPs and compliance frameworks in alignment with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance inventory visibility and planning precision.
  • Mentor and develop a team of inventory planners and analysts fostering a culture of accountability and data-driven decision-making


Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Operations Management Business Administration or a related field; MBA or CSCP certification is a plus.
  • 25 years of progressive experience in inventory management supply planning or cost control within the FMCG food or beverage industry.
  • Proven expertise in demand and supply planning with strong proficiency in ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) and advanced Excel (pivot tables VLOOKUP macros).
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze large datasets identify trends and deliver actionable insights to improve inventory efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Strong understanding of inventory valuation methods working capital management and cost accounting principles.
  • Excellent communication negotiation and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with high integrity analytical thinking and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience with forecasting tools (e.g. SAP IBP Kinaxis Oracle Demand Planning) is highly desirable.
