Job Summary
- Draft review and negotiate commercial contracts including supplier agreements vendor contracts licensing deals and distribution agreements.
- Manage intellectual property matters such as trademark filings copyright registrations and enforcement actions related to designs logos and brand assets.
- Provide legal support on compliance with local and international regulations including labor laws consumer protection data privacy and e-commerce standards.
- Assist in due diligence processes for potential partnerships acquisitions or new market expansions.
- Maintain and organize legal documentation contracts and compliance records in a centralized digital system.
- Collaborate with marketing design and product teams to ensure brand content and product launches comply with legal standards.
- Monitor legal developments impacting the fashion industry and advise on risk mitigation strategies.
- Support internal audits legal training sessions and policy development initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from a recognized university.
- 13 years of post-qualification experience in corporate/commercial law preferably in the fashion retail or consumer goods industry.
- Strong understanding of intellectual property law especially trademarks and copyrights in design and branding.
- Proficiency in contract drafting and negotiation with experience handling vendor and supplier agreements.
- Familiarity with Indian contract law competition law and consumer protection regulations.
- Excellent research analytical and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal database tools.
- Willingness to work in a creative collaborative and deadline-driven fashion environment.
Required Skills:
Proficiency in Power BI and data visualization. Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data. Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (pivot tables formulas charts). Excellent presentation skills using PowerPoint. Knowledge of Value Stream Mapping (VSM) Time and Motion Study Process Qualification - MBA in Analytics/Operation or related field
