RENEWABLE ENERGY ENGINEER

Location: Visakhapatnam Tirupati Vijayawada

Position Overview:

The Renewable Energy Engineer will support field-level implementation monitoring and coordination of renewable energy projects particularly under PM-KUSUM and related initiatives. The role requires on-ground engagement with DISCOM teams to ensure effective rollout tracking and reporting of projects along with capacity building support.

Key Responsibilities

Field-Level Monitoring and Implementation

• Support implementation and monitoring of renewable energy projects at DISCOM level

• Track project progress including installation status commissioning timelines and operational performance

• Maintain field-level data and ensure timely reporting to the client and PMU team

Coordination with DISCOM and Field Stakeholders

• Work closely with DISCOM officials to support execution of renewable energy schemes

• Liaise with vendors installers and contractors for project updates and issue resolution

• Assist in ensuring compliance with technical and operational guidelines

Data Management and Reporting

• Maintain project tracking databases and prepare periodic progress reports

• Support development of status dashboards MIS reports and review documents

• Ensure accurate and timely data flow between DISCOMs and state-level PMU

Technical Support

• Assist in reviewing basic technical aspects of project implementation including system installation connectivity and commissioning

• Support site verification and field validation exercises as required

• Provide inputs for improving system performance and addressing operational challenges

Capacity Building at DISCOM Level

• Support training of DISCOM personnel on monitoring frameworks reporting formats and project tracking tools

• Assist in developing templates and documentation for standardised reporting

• Support dissemination of implementation guidelines and best practices

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in mechanical/electrical engineering and

• Masters degree in engineering or management

Professional Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of experience working with RE companies

• Experience in monitoring/management of at least one renewable energy project supporting state-owned power utilities or RE development agencies

• Experience in working with international organizations

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of renewable energy project lifecycle (planning to commissioning)

• Familiarity with government schemes such as PM-KUSUM and distributed RE programmes

• Familiarity with project monitoring installation processes and field coordination

• Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel PowerPoint reporting dashboards)

• Ability to work independently in field-based roles with DISCOM teams

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• Fluency in spoken and written English
