Job Summary

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for critical financial and quantitative aspects of construction projects. This role demands precision attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining project integrity.

  • Execute meticulous quantification from drawings design information ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct thorough verification of quantities provided by Engineers or Suppliers to maintain project accuracy.
  • Diligently obtain and analyse quotations and pricing from suppliers and vendors to support cost-effective decision-making.
  • Develop and structure comprehensive estimates bills of quantities and bills of materials with utmost precision.
  • Perform in-depth rate analysis to ensure competitive and realistic project costing.
  • Implement and maintain robust project WBS structures to effectively track and control cost information.
  • Establish set and rigorously track project baseline budgets ensuring fiscal responsibility and project viability.
  • Deliver accurate and timely reporting of project information including professional liaison with broader project team members and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate proficient knowledge of CPWD Publications DSR and other relevant industry standards.
  • Must be ready to travel outstation as and when required for interacting with client  

Qualifications :

The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:

  • A degree in Civil or Construction Engineering is mandatory.
  • A minimum 8 - 10 years of experience in the buildings sector specifically in Quantity Surveying and Cost Estimation is required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Structural and Architectural items and methods used in the construction of buildings (including Commercial and Residential complexes Airports Metro Stations and Warehouses) is essential.
  • A thorough understanding of contract conditions is essential.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software is non-negotiable including:
  • AutoCAD
  • Microsoft Office suite (Excel Word PowerPoint)
  • Expertise in Revit or BIM software will be considered a significant advantage.
  • In-depth familiarity with CPWD publications is crucial including:
  • Delhi Schedule of Rates (DSR)
  • Plinth Area Rates (PAR)
  • MORTH Specifications
  • Maharashtra State PWD Schedule of Rates
