Python Developer | Cloud, SQL & CICD

Job Summary

Synechron is seeking a capable and collaborative Python Developer to design build and maintain scalable software solutions. This role emphasizes strong backend development in Python solid understanding of software architecture and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment. The successful candidate will contribute to architecture decisions drive delivery of features and support CI/CD and cloud adoption to enable business growth and digital transformation.

Software Requirements

Required Skills (Essential)

• Proficiency in Python 3.x for backend development and data processing

• Experience with one or more Python web frameworks (e.g. Django Flask) and REST API development

• Strong understanding of SDLC/ Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams

• Solid knowledge of software architecture and design patterns

• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms and basic cloud infrastructure concepts

• Experience with relational databases and data modeling (e.g. MySQL PostgreSQL Oracle)

• Version control with Git; collaboration platforms (GitHub GitLab Bitbucket)

Preferred Skills

• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker Kubernetes)

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation (Jenkins GitHub Actions GitLab CI)

• NoSQL databases and data warehousing concepts

• Testing frameworks (pytest unittest) and front-end awareness (JavaScript/HTML/CSS)

• Exposure to data analytics visualization or reporting tools

Overall Responsibilities

• Design develop and maintain scalable Python-based applications and APIs

• Collaborate with product managers UX designers and backend teams to translate requirements into technical solutions

• Write clean maintainable and well-documented code; participate in code reviews

• Optimize application performance reliability and security

• Contribute to architecture discussions and ensure alignment with enterprise standards

• Support CI/CD pipelines and automation efforts to accelerate delivery

• Maintain comprehensive documentation including architecture deployment procedures and technical specifications

• Mentor junior developers and promote knowledge sharing and best practices

Experience Requirements

• 59 years of professional software development experience with a strong focus on Python

• Prior experience delivering enterprise-grade applications within an Agile setting

• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and participating in code reviews

• Domain experience in finance banking or other data-intensive sectors is advantageous but not mandatory

• Alternative pathways: substantial project work relevant certifications or notable contributions to Python-based platforms

Day-to-Day Activities

• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Python

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and plan iterations

• Write and review code; perform unit and integration tests; ensure quality

• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize performance and security

• Participate in planning stand-ups reviews and retrospectives

• Contribute to architecture discussions and deployment documentation

• Mentor junior developers and share knowledge across teams

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field

• 59 years of hands-on Python development experience

• Certifications in Python cloud platforms or software development practices are helpful
