Job Summary

Configuration Management and Automation: Lead the migration of configuration management tasks from Puppet to Ansible ensuring seamless transitions and minimal service disruptions. Develop implement and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using Ansible for consistent deployment and configuration management. Write and optimize Ansible playbooks to enhance infrastructure automation.
AMS and DevOps Support: Provide operational support as part of the AMS team addressing configuration issues troubleshooting deployments and handling post-migration support. Collaborate with AMS teams to document and transfer knowledge ensuring a smooth transition for ongoing maintenance and support.
DevOps and CI/CD Pipeline Enhancement: Integrate Ansible into CI/CD pipelines to support automated end-to-end deployments and improve efficiency and consistency in releases. Work with cross-functional teams to enhance CI/CD workflows and ensure configuration management aligns with DevOps best practices.
Optimization and Documentation: Identify opportunities to improve configuration processes reduce infrastructure costs and enhance system reliability and security. Document migration steps processes and best practices creating comprehensive guides for future AMS and DevOps team members.

Required Skills and Experience:

5 years of experience in DevOps and configuration management.
Hands-on experience with Puppet (3 years) and Ansible (2 years) including migration projects.
Strong understanding of DevOps practices and tools such as CI/CD pipelines Jenkins Git and Docker.
Experience working within Application Management Services (AMS) and providing operational support for deployments and configurations.
Familiarity with cloud environments like AWS Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Proficiency with scripting languages (e.g. Python Bash) for automation tasks.
