Project Manager Mechanical

Scope
Provide mechanical design support for custom industrial machinery including new machine development customer orders and engineering changes.

• Manage end-to-end mechanical engineering projectsfor industrial machinery and automation equipment.
• Manage project scope schedule engineering hours cost resources risks and quality.
• Lead machine concept development and technical feasibility studies.
• Review and approval:
  • 3D models and assemblies
  • Manufacturing drawings
  • GD&T and tolerance stack-ups

Responsibilities

• Create/revise 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings
• Design assemblies weldments sheet metal and machined components
• Develop and maintain BOMs
• Support standardization and legacy design updates
• Implement engineering changes
• Partner with Engineering Manufacturing and Purchasing

Qualifications

• 5 years designing industrial capital equipment
• SolidWorks proficiency
• Manufacturing drawings and GD&T
• BOM and PDM/PLM experience
• Self-directed in an ETO environment

Preferred Experience

• Plastics extrusion or converting equipment
• Web wire and cable conveyance handling
• Design for manufacturing and assembly
