Job Summary

The Project Engineer for respective disciplines (Civil/ Structures/ Electrical/ MEP/ PHE/ Drainage/ Utility/ Airport Systems/ Finishing) shall report to the Package Managers and will be responsible for ensuring work front availability achieving agreed construction progress targets identifying & escalating delays/constraints resource shortages and interface-related bottlenecks and supporting effective & timely project delivery.

The role involves day-to-day progress monitoring construction supervision quality assurance testing commissioning and handover of various airport infrastructure assets including terminal buildings airside works support facilities airport systems and landside infra.

The role also involves reviewing GFC drawings and identifying any site related discrepancies reviewing technical submissions monitoring construction progress and quality assurance coordinating with contractors/consultants/vendors and other stakeholders to ensure that all the works are executed in accordance with approved designs drawings project specifications safety requirements project timelines and applicable aviation standards. The role shall also ensure proper interfacing and integration with associated infrastructure utilities airport systems and adjoining project packages to facilitate seamless project execution and operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review GFC drawings specifications method statements shop drawings material submittals and technical submissions and identify site-related discrepancies clashes and constructability issues.
  • Ensure work-front availability and support achievement of agreed construction progress targets.
  • Supervise and manage on-site construction activities within the assigned discipline and ensure compliance with approved drawings specifications and quality requirements.
  • Monitor construction progress and proactively identify escalate and resolve delays constraints resource shortages and interface-related bottlenecks.
  • Coordinate with contractors consultants and project management teams on-site to facilitate seamless execution and interface management.
  • Conduct site inspections quality checks and compliance reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with safety environmental statutory and aviation-specific requirements.
  • Resolve site issues technical queries and design clarifications in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
  • Prepare progress reports inspection records punch lists and technical documentation.
  • Monitor testing commissioning snagging defect rectification and handover activities.
  • Support commissioning and handover activities.
  • Identify construction risks and coordinate corrective and mitigation measures.
  • Participate in site inspections technical meetings and coordination workshops.
  • Monitor snagging defect rectification testing and handover activities.
  • Verify as-built drawings material records and project documentation.
  • Assist the Package Manager in contractor management technical reviews project monitoring & reporting co-ordination and issue resolution.

  • Strong analytical numerical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under demanding project schedules in a multidisciplinary airport environment.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in relevant engineering discipline from a recognized university.
  • Overall 5-10 years of experience in construction supervision & monitoring project engineering or infra development in respective discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in airport and aviation infrastructure projects is essential.
  • Strong experience in site execution coordination work-front planning construction supervision testing commissioning and handover within the relevant discipline.
  • Experience working with PMC consultants EPC contractors airport operators or client-side project teams.
  • Experience in multidisciplinary interface coordination and management of construction activities in an operational or greenfield airport environment.
  • Knowledge of ICAO DGCA IS Codes and applicable airport engineering standards.
