Production Engineer

Job Title: Production Engineer

Job Location: Chennai

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop modify and optimize CNC programs to ensure accurate machining improved cycle time and consistent quality.
• Operate and provide technical support for VMC and HMC machines including setup tooling selection and troubleshooting.
• Oversee assembly operations ensuring adherence to process standards drawings and quality requirements.
• Monitor and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and Operational Performance Percentage (OPP) for assembly and machining lines.
• Perform rejection and root cause analysis (RCA) using quality tools; implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce scrap and rework.
• Coordinate with Quality Maintenance and Planning teams to resolve production issues and minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with safety quality and production targets on the shop floor.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives such as cycle time reduction productivity improvement and cost optimization.
• Maintain proper documentation related to machining programs inspection reports and production records.
• Train and guide operators on machining processes quality standards and best practices
