The Product Security Engineer I supports improving the security posture and bringing modern security features into our products.
Your role will help to improve the security level of all our product lines at a technical and architecture level. Furthermore you will help fixing and managing identified security vulnerabilities. You will be working in a team of like-minded technical security enthusiasts that are passionate about elevating the security posture of our product line.
This position reports to the Chief Product Security Engineer and is part of the Product Security Engineering Team located in Bengaluru India and will be an on-site role.
In this role you will have the opportunity to:
- Work on Security Related Changes for Diagnostics products
- Support implementation of security features for Beckman Products
- Work on automation of virtualization capabilities
- Support developing proof of concepts and exploits
- Support hardening on product operating systems
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelors degree in computer science Cybersecurity or a related technical field.
- Relevant internship experience academic projects or participation in cybersecurity-related activities (e.g. clubs capture-the-flag events).
- Basic understanding of how software and hardware systems work with an eagerness to learn about secure design principles for various products (e.g. applications embedded systems).
- Basic understanding of secure software architectures and cybersecurity in connected systems.
- Familiarity with the general concept of security vulnerabilities and a strong desire to learn practical methods for identifying and mitigating them (e.g. through secure coding practices basic code reviews).
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Software development
- Familiarity with cloud systems
