1. Role Purpose

We are looking for a Product Manager Grid-Tie Inverters who will own the complete product lifecycle of Loom Solars on-grid inverter portfoliofrom market research product specification and OEM development to launch pricing sales enablement quality service and product profitability.

The person will act as the bridge between customer sales engineering R&D sourcing manufacturing service and business teams.

The objective is to build a competitive and scalable Loom Solar Grid-Tie Inverter product portfolio for residential commercial and industrial customers.



2. Key Responsibilities
A. Product Strategy
  • Develop 13 year strategy for the grid-tie inverter business.
  • Define product portfolio by:
    • 15 kW residential
    • 520 kW
    • 2050 kW
    • 50100 kW
    • 100 kW C&I
  • Identify gaps in Loom Solars existing portfolio.
  • Benchmark competitors on:
    • Price
    • Efficiency
    • Warranty
    • Features
    • Reliability
    • MPPT configuration
    • Communication
    • Serviceability
  • Develop product roadmap based on market demand and technology trends.
B. Market & Customer Understanding

Regularly engage with:

  • Solar dealers
  • EPC companies
  • System integrators
  • Distributors
  • Rooftop customers
  • C&I customers
  • Project developers
  • Service teams

Understand key customer pain points such as:

  • Installation complexity
  • Inverter failures
  • Grid issues
  • Monitoring
  • Warranty claims

  • Remote troubleshooting

Convert customer problems into product requirements.



3. Product Development

Own the complete development process:

Prepare detailed Product Requirement Documents covering:

  • Number of MPPTs

4. OEM & Vendor Management
  • Identify and evaluate inverter OEM/ODM partners.
  • Prepare technical and commercial comparison of suppliers.

Work closely with Service and Quality teams to reduce field failures.

Responsibilities include:

  • Monitor MTBF.
  • Improve firmware/hardware.
  • Improve installation practices.
  • Develop preventive troubleshooting guides.
  • Create remote diagnostic capability.

Goal: Product reliability should improve every quarter.



10. Sales & Channel Enablement

Support the sales organization with technical and commercial tools.
