Main Accountabilities:
1. Sourcing strategy Leveraging the Continuous Improvement Process Sourcing (CIPS) process
implements effective sourcing strategies in line with business strategy ensuring that the supply base/suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements. Ensures all relevant parties understand strategies and execute processes accordingly.
Procurement:
Manages planning and tracking of procurement activities cost budgets
emerging country spending and savings forecasts. Minimizes risk regarding quality and financial exposure by buying in accordance with quality and commercial procedures and in accordance with Company guidelines.
Negotiation:
Negotiates agreements with main suppliers and periodically renews price lists terms and conditions.
Contracts:
Adapts corporate contractual framework to the local business needs. Recommends frame agreements to management and executes upon approval. Provides ongoing oversight and contract management with suppliers.
Supplier agreements:
Ensures identification investigation and selection of appropriate suppliers (focusing on quality delivery cost and sustainability) in accordance with Company policies. Defines and establishes local standard agreements with all major suppliers. Provides and maintains standard terms in purchase contracts/terms and conditions in line with Company directives and guidelines.
Special programs:
Designs and implements cost-out programs and/or processes to reach
financial targets.
Business continuity:
Applies and implements SCM standards tools and processes focused on business continuity for the assigned commodity or group of commodities.

Contributes to and participates in setting and implementing budget and targets within the framework. Ensures the Category sourcing performance targets are achieved.
leadership and development
Key Responsibility
Ensures (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized staffed skilled and directed. Guides motivates and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies and Group Supply Chain Management excellence guidelines (knowledge management functional training etc.)
Identify and develop material and equipment suppliers with reli- ability quality and competitive costs
Develop frame agreements where suitable.
Organize pipeline review meetings with major suppliers. Work closely with proposal and engineering teams to prepare
RFQs evaluate supplier quotations and formulate project bud- get.
Solicit quotes from both Hitachi Energy internal and external suppliers.
Negotiate with suppliers on terms and prices.
Skills Experience :
Masters or Bachelor degree in an Electrical/Mechanical Engineering discipline or business administration or any other qualification that is deemed suitable for the role
Good English both written and spoken
Minimum 10-15 years of professional experience in a project environment for Power Quality BESS & HVDC substations Renewable Energy and Process Industries in EPC/Engineering packages and depth knowledge and exposure in Sourcing with leadership skill.
Minimum 10 years of professional experience in a supply chain function and exposure to sourcing of various EHV Electrical instruments
i.e ReactorsCooling SystemsTransformerBateery systemEMSPCS Circuit Breakers ITs GIS Structures HV/LT Switch boards HV/LV Cables ..etc from inland and international supply base.
Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement of tailored equip- ments for PQ and BESS projects
Good knowledge of processes in industrial large and complex or power quality projects
Strength in commercial/legal aspects of purchasing
Excellent communication & proven negotiation skills Drive to contin- uously create results and innovative solutions
Experience with capital project business transnational process and SAP Project Systems
Skilled communicator who can interface with numerous external and internal parties at different levels in a project environment
