About The Job:
  • Cllient seeks a Procurement Specialist to work within a team and be responsible for end-to-end procurement activities for our client base with a primary focus on medical equipment laboratory equipment diagnostic and clinical instruments scientific/lab supplies consumables reagents maintenance/service agreements spare parts and other client-designated indirect categories.
  • The Procurement Specialist will be part of a center of excellence and will perform outsourced procurement sourcing supplier management RFX/tendering and contract support activities for various clients.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Manage end-to-end sourcing and procurement activities for medical equipment laboratory equipment diagnostic devices clinical instruments biomedical equipment lab consumables reagents spares accessories and related services.
  • Support other indirect and equipment-related categories as required including facilities/MRO equipment office equipment logistics calibration services installation services professional services and general operational spend.
  • Lead supplier identification supplier pre-qualification supplier selection contract authoring support negotiations workflow management RFI/RFP/RFQ processes tender documentation playbooks and other procurement tasks.
  • Analyze spend data client requirements supplier quotations technical/commercial bids and category trends to identify savings cost avoidance standardization consolidation and total cost of ownership opportunities.
  • Negotiate business and commercial terms on behalf of clients for equipment purchases leases/rentals warranty extensions installation training AMC/CMC calibration validation spare parts and service agreements ranging from routine consumables to high-value CAPEX purchases.
  • Review negotiate and initiate purchase agreements service contracts statements of work master service agreements purchase orders and supplier documentation directly with suppliers and service providers on behalf of clients.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders such finance legal compliance and operations teams to clarify specifications evaluate alternatives and support timely award decisions.
  • Ensure procurement activities follow client policies budget controls approval workflows quality requirements safety expectations and applicable documentation needs such as warranty terms calibration certificates compliance certificates installation reports and service-level commitments.
  • Manage supplier performance delivery timelines risk mitigation issue escalation vendor documentation and ongoing reporting to clients.
  • Perform contract research and respond to client queries related to medical equipment laboratory equipment maintenance/service agreements supplier terms pricing and procurement status.
  • Maintain audit-ready procurement records including RFX documents bid comparisons evaluation summaries negotiation notes approvals contracts and savings documentation.
  • Assist in developing and improving procurement processes category playbooks standard templates supplier scorecards and contract lifecycle practices.
Qualifications:
  • At least 6 to 8 years experience in procurement strategic sourcing category management or supply chain roles.
  • Must have hands-on procurement experience in medical equipment and laboratory equipment categories preferably across hospitals diagnostic centers laboratories research organizations pharmaceutical biotech life sciences or healthcare clients.
  • Demonstrated experience procuring categories such as medical devices/equipment lab instruments diagnostic equipment consumables reagents biomedical equipment spares accessories calibration services installation services AMC/CMC and warranty/service contracts.
  • Strong understanding of supplier markets pricing structures equipment lifecycle costs warranty and service models delivery lead times budget controls and commercial terms for equipment-based procurement.
  • Experience in RFI/RFP/RFQ tendering bid evaluation supplier negotiation supplier onboarding contract review purchase order execution and end-to-end procurement delivery.
  • Must have experience in contract negotiations including pricing payment terms service levels warranty penalties delivery terms acceptance criteria installation training maintenance and spare parts support.
  • Ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand specifications challenge requirements where appropriate compare supplier offerings and recommend commercially viable options.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; exposure to e-sourcing ERP procurement workflow contract lifecycle or spend analytics tools is preferred.
  • Experienced at compiling tracking and following strict budgets savings targets approval matrices and reporting requirements.
  • Able to multi-task prioritize manage time efficiently and handle multiple client requirements in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to documentation compliance reporting and stakeholder management.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelors degree or masters degree
  • Excellent analytical abilities to grasp the key points from complicated details.
  • High Level of expertise in Microsoft (Office PowerPoint Publisher Visio).
  • Excellent organization strong written/verbal communications and writing styles with an eye for detail.
