Principal IT Analyst Project Systems

As the Principal Business Systems Analyst here at Honeywell you will be responsible for leading the analysis design and implementation of business systems. Collaborating with cross-functional teams you will gather and document business requirements from stakeholders and develop technology solutions to meet those requirements. You will conduct comprehensive analysis of existing business systems and processes identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for optimization.

You will report directly to our Sr Director IT and youll work out of our Bengaluru Karnataka location on a Hybrid work schedule.
In this role you will have a significant impact on the organization by leveraging your expertise in business systems analysis to identify opportunities for process improvement streamline workflows and optimize system functionality. Your strong analytical and problem-solving skills will enable you to effectively analyze business requirements and design solutions that meet the needs of stakeholders.

The business provides advanced process technologies digital solutions and domain expertise to help customers optimize energy usage reduce emissions and support sustainable operations across industrial and energy markets.

As a Principle IT Analyst Projects Business Model in PT you will ensure that our SAP S/4 project execution solutions effectively support the delivery of complex customerfacing capital projects. You will work closely with Project Management Engineering Finance Supply Chain and Customer teams to understand execution requirements and translate them into scalable compliant SAP S/4 solutions.

You will report directly to our Sr Director ITERP Business Transformation and work out of our Bengaluru India or Pune India location on a Hybrid schedule.

In this role you will play a pivotal part in driving the organizations technology strategies and projects aligning them with business objectives. This role is critical to enabling endtoend project execution from project setup through delivery billing revenue recognition and closeout. You will ensure accurate cost control financial visibility and integration across the full project lifecycle while aligning solutions to Honeywells Global Design Model (GDM).Your technical leadership will ensure the reliability security and scalability of our IT systems ultimately enhancing our competitive edge and operational efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Analyze design and support SAP S/4 solutions for execution of customer Capital Projects from project initiation through closeout.

Partner with Project Management Engineering Finance Supply Chain and Customer teams to gather validate and document project execution requirements.

Translate business requirements into scalable standardized SAP solutions aligned with the Global Design Model (GDM).

Support project structuring and execution processes in SAP including:

Project definitions and WBS structures

Milestones progress tracking and project status reporting

Enable endtoend integration across project execution flows including Sales Engineering Procurement Manufacturing Installation and Service.

Ensure accurate cost collection capitalization billing and revenue recognition throughout the project lifecycle.

Support project billing scenarios including milestonebased percentageofcompletion and final billing.

Design and support interfaces and integrations between SAP and external project engineering or execution systems as required.

Collaborate with Centers of Excellence (COEs) to validate futurestate project operating models controls and security roles.

Support project master data readiness including project templates cost structures settlement rules and financial profiles.

Prepare and execute endtoend capital project test scenarios supporting UAT BOAT deployment and hypercare.

Identify project execution risks and dependencies; support golive stabilization and continuous improvement initiatives.

YOU MUST HAVE

7 years of IT analysis experience with a focus on Capital Projects Project Execution or Projectcentric ERP solutions.

Handson experience with SAP S/4 Project Systems (PS) or equivalent project execution functionality.

Experience supporting revenue recognition and financial integration for longcycle or complex customer projects.

Proven experience delivering or supporting ERP implementations enhancements or transformations in a projectbased business environment.

Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science Engineering Finance or a related field.

Strong understanding of customer project execution lifecycles including cost control billing and financial settlement.

SAP certifications in S/4 Project Systems Finance or related modules.

Experience working in engineeredtoorder construction energy or large capital equipment environments.

Strong understanding of project accounting capitalization and revenue recognition concepts.

Ability to translate complex project execution and financial concepts into clear system designs and requirements.

Strong documentation training and communication skills.

Experience with structured testing methodologies and deployment readiness activities.
