About The Job:
- We are seeking a Principal Azure Network Engineer to architect implement and operationalize a secure scalable and highly available Azure cloud networking foundation.
- The role will be responsible for designing enterprise-grade Azure network architectures driving network security through firewall technologies and establishing connectivity patterns that support cloud-native platforms data workloads and future growth.
- This position works closely with Engineering Cybersecurity Platform Engineering and Architecture teams to ensure a secure and resilient Azure environment.
- Design and implement Azure Landing Zone network architecture including hub-spoke or Virtual WAN topologies.
- Define network segmentation strategies subnet structures IP addressing schemes routing models and connectivity standards.
- Establish Azure networking patterns aligned with Management Groups Subscriptions and Virtual Networks.
- Implement configure and manage Azure Firewall and related network security controls.
- Develop secure connectivity standards for internal applications and external services.
- Design and support hybrid network connectivity solutions and ensure highly available network architectures.
- Architect secure networking solutions for Azure platform services and enterprise applications.
- Collaborate with Engineering Cybersecurity and Platform Engineering teams to design build and operate enterprise Azure platforms.
- Support network integration requirements with cloud and vendor-hosted platforms used for data and AI workloads.
- Provide network design reviews and guidance as part of architecture governance processes.
- Define and enforce networking standards policies naming conventions tagging standards and operational procedures.
- Monitor network health connectivity performance and security posture across Azure environments.
- Create operational runbooks and standard operating procedures (SOPs) and enable L1/L2 support teams with troubleshooting guidance.
- Drive network automation and infrastructure deployment through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
- Deliver assigned sprint objectives with high quality and within agreed timelines.
