Role Purpose

A well-known Manufacturing company is looking for an experienced HR Manager/ Plant HR to lead the complete HR function at the plant. The role will be responsible for managing the employee lifecycle strengthening HR processes ensuring statutory compliance and supporting a productive and engaged workforce.

Key Responsibilities

1. Recruitment & Workforce Planning

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment for the plant including manpower planning and onboarding.

  • Partner with functional heads to understand manpower requirements and ensure timely closures.

  • Develop and maintain effective recruitment and retention strategies.

2. Performance Management

  • Drive the annual performance management process including goal setting KRAs/KPIs performance reviews and appraisals.

  • Partner with functional heads and managers to ensure effective performance evaluation feedback and development planning.

  • Monitor performance outcomes and identify high performers development needs and corrective actions to improve employee and organisational performance.

3. Learning & Development / L&OD

  • Identify training and development needs across functions.

  • Drive training programs competency development and employee capability-building initiatives.

  • Support succession planning performance management and talent development.

4. Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Manage employee relations and address grievances effectively.

  • Drive employee engagement and communication initiatives across the plant.

  • Handle union/worker relations and negotiations while maintaining a positive industrial environment.

5. Statutory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory requirements.

  • Manage labour law documentation statutory registers inspections and audits.

  • Coordinate with external authorities and consultants wherever required.

6. Payroll & HR Operations

  • Oversee monthly payroll processing attendance leave and employee records.

  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll inputs in coordination with Finance/Payroll teams.

  • Manage employee lifecycle processes including joining transfers confirmation and full & final settlement.

7. Plant Administration & Security

  • Oversee plant HR administration and employee welfare activities.

  • Manage security operations and ensure effective access control and security processes.

  • Coordinate facilities and administrative activities to ensure smooth plant operations.

8. Audits

  • Lead and coordinate customer audits social audits and HR/Statutory audits.

  • Ensure timely closure of audit observations and implementation of corrective actions.

  • Maintain required HR and compliance documentation.

9. Team Management

  • Lead and develop the HR team at the plant.

  • Allocate responsibilities monitor performance and build HR team capabilities.

  • Work closely with Plant Head and functional leadership on people-related initiatives.

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • 1015 years of HR experience in a manufacturing/plant environment.

  • Strong expertise in Plant HR IR & Union Handling.

  • Hands-on experience in Recruitment L&OD Compliance Payroll & Plant Administration.

  • Exposure to Customer/Social Audits Security Management & Employee Relations.

  • Multi-plant experience will be an added advantage.

  • Strong leadership communication and negotiation skills.
