The Role
As a Piping Designer Level I with Worley you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.
- The Piping Designer is accountable for producing and maintaining piping deliverables(including but not limited to: drawings designing experience with PDMSE3D SP3D models will be preferred in accordance with oil & gas industry.
- Produce the various discipline deliverables to the agreed schedule.
- Standards codes and client specifications within the schedule and budget as set-out by the Lead Piping Designer. The position must support in the overall delivery.
- Apply good interpersonal skills liaising with members of other disciplines and departments.
- Create and respond to technical queries.
- Carry out 3D modelling & design activities of piping systems & supports.
- Draught & check detailed design drawings of piping systems & supports in accordance with industry standards codes and client specifications.
- Prepare & check materials take-offs and bill of materials.
- Provide technical input during detailed engineering of projects.
- Provide support and input into the preparation of PED technical files.
- Provide support and input into the preparation of construction work packs and certification documentation.
- Responsible for technical decision-making associated with any given scope of work.
- Establish good working relationships and communication with discipline leads department managers and clients.
- Undertake any other general duties that may be requested The list of duties is not exhaustive in any way and may change at any time.
About You
To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:
- A Certificate or Diploma in Piping Design / Drafting with a preference for a Piping Engineering Degree.
- Minimum 4-5 years experience in the design and drafting of offshore and onshore oil and gas facilities and associated sub-structures.
- Experience with PDMS/E3D/S3D design software packages.
