Penetration Tester – Embedded Systems

Job Title: Penetration Tester – Embedded Systems 2–5 Years Experience

CTC-9LPA max

Function: Product Security Reports to: Product Security Lead

Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct penetration testing on embedded firmware controllers and management interfaces of CDU/PDU units
2. Document findings with risk ratings reproduction steps and remediation guidance
3. Coordinate with embedded development teams for fix validation and retesting
4. Support threat modeling and security reviews during product design (SDL gates)
5. Contribute to SBOM/vulnerability mapping for third-party firmware components
6. Support nVent's product cybersecurity verification testing program aligned to ISA/IEC(Security Development Lifecycle)
7. Evaluate new testing tools/processes for efficiency and quality; drive test automation where possible
8. Maintain test report documentation as evidence of compliance and track tested products in nVent tools/databases
9. Support the calendar of recurring cybersecurity audits/assessments ensuring owners complete activities on time

You must Have

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field
• 2–5 years of pentesting experience preferably with embedded/IoT/OT exposure
• Ability to collaborate effectively with IT and product engineering teams
• Good verbal and written communication skills

You Might Have

• Some experience in embedded product cybersecurity testing
• Familiarity with test automation scripting tools/languages
• Familiarity with Jira or similar activity-planning tools
• Familiarity with Agile or Kanban work environments
• Certifications like OSCP or equivalent
