Payroll and compliance executive

Job Title: Payroll & Compliance Executive Department: HR Location: Surat Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll & Compliance Executive to manage payroll processing and ensure statutory compliance within our textile manufacturing unit. The role involves handling employee compensation maintaining compliance with labor laws and supporting audits and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: Payroll Management: Process monthly payroll for factory workers staff and management. Ensure accurate calculation of wages overtime bonuses incentives and deductions. Maintain payroll records salary registers and payslips. Handle employee queries related to salary deductions and benefits. Coordinate with HR for attendance leave and shift data. Statutory Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws and regulations. Manage and process statutory contributions such as PF ESI PT LWF and TDS. File monthly quarterly and annual statutory returns within deadlines. Maintain records related to compliance audits and inspections. Liaise with government authorities and external consultants when required. Documentation & Audits: Maintain employee records registers and compliance documentation as per legal requirements. Assist in internal and external audits (labor audits statutory audits). Ensure proper documentation for contractor labor and compliance (if applicable). Contract Labour Compliance: Monitor contractor compliance with labor laws and documentation. Verify contractor bills wage sheets and statutory contributions. Ensure adherence to Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Act requirements. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Commerce HR or related field. 25 years of experience in payroll and compliance preferably in textile or manufacturing industry. Strong knowledge of labor laws PF ESI PT and payroll processing. Proficiency in MS Excel and payroll software. High attention to detail and accuracy. Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
