Job Description

Mobile Platform DevOps Engineer

Location: Hyderabad / Chennai / Bangalore

Experience: 8 - 15 Years

Notice Period: 30 days

Requirements:

Platform Engineering & Operations

• Design build and maintain highly available platform services supporting mobile application development and delivery.
• Operate and enhance cloud-native infrastructure running on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Develop and maintain internal developer platforms automation frameworks and self-service capabilities.
• Ensure platform reliability performance scalability and security.

CI/CD & Developer Enablement

• Build and support modern CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions Harness and related tooling.
• Improve build performance release automation and deployment reliability for mobile engineering teams.
• Create reusable patterns templates and automation to increase developer productivity.
• Support and enable more than 500 developers using mobile platform services.

Infrastructure as Code & Automation

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and immutable infrastructure patterns.
• Build and maintain virtual machine images using Packer.
• Build and maintain cloud infrastructure with Terraform.
• Automate operational processes and reduce manual effort through scripting and platform engineering practices.
• Promote engineering excellence through standardisation and automation.

Mobile Platform Support

• Support the infrastructure and services used to build Android and iOS applications.
• Collaborate with mobile engineering teams to improve developer workflows and release processes.
• Contribute to platform capabilities that support mobile application testing signing packaging and distribution.

Security Reliability & Compliance

• Embed DevSecOps practices throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
• Implement monitoring logging alerting and observability solutions.
• Ensure platform services meet security risk and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in incident management troubleshooting and continuous service improvement.

Technical Skills

Cloud & Containerisation

• Strong experience with Docker and container-based application delivery.
• Experience operating Kubernetes platforms in production environments.
• Experience working with public cloud platforms ideally Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

CI/CD & Automation

• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions Harness or equivalent modern CI/CD tooling.
• Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code and automation-first approaches.
• Experience with Packer for creating and managing machine images.

Build Engineering

• Experience with Gradle and build automation systems.
• Understanding of software build optimisation dependency management and release automation.

Systems & Platforms

• Experience administering and troubleshooting Linux-based environments.
• Experience supporting and operating macOS systems and build environments.
• Knowledge of networking security and platform operations fundamentals.

Software Development

• Experience with at least one programming language preferably .
• Strong scripting and automation capabilities.
• Ability to develop tools utilities and integrations to improve developer experience.

Skills

• Experience building packaging or deploying Android applications.
• Experience building packaging or deploying iOS applications.
• Familiarity with Xcode and Apple development tooling.
• Experience with mobile device testing platforms and simulators.
• Knowledge of software supply chain security and DevSecOps practices.
• Experience with observability platforms such as Prometheus Grafana Splunk or equivalent.
• Understanding of certificate management signing processes and secrets management.
• Experience working in regulated or large-scale enterprise environments.
