Pratt & Whitney a Raytheon Technologies Company is looking for a Frontend developer to join our Digital Technology (DT) Digital Manufacturing Applications team. This individual will be involved in the delivery of developing enhancing and implementing software solutions within Pratt & Whitneys enterprise Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solutions as well as integrations with other enterprise products for our internal Operations customers. This role will support the development of web-based solutions troubleshooting of problems related to PWs MES resolving systems integration and compatibility issues and supporting the application life cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain UI components using React (functional components hooks)
Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into clean reusable code
Integrate front-end components with REST/GraphQL APIs
Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality
Debug and resolve front-end issues performance bottlenecks and cross-browser inconsistencies
Participate in code reviews and follow team coding standards
Collaborate with backend developers QA and product stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum environment
Contribute to technical documentation.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field with 2 years of experience in software development.
Hands-on experience with
Strong fundamentals in HTML5 CSS3
Experience with state management (Redux Context API Zustand or similar)
Familiarity with RESTful API integration
Understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
Familiarity with version control (Git)
Basic understanding of testing frameworks (Jest React Testing Library or similar)
Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing principles.
Hands-on experience with TypeScript JavaScript
Familiarity with build tools (Webpack Vite)
Hands-on experience on backend Azure Functions Resources & DB (RDBMS)
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines
Good communication and willingness to learn
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees as they are essential to the development of our products.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). If you live within a reasonable commute of an RTX site with other colleagues you interact with your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles commuting to and from the assigned site is the employees personal responsibility.

Requires theoretical to advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through University Degree combined with experience. Practical knowledge of RTX projects programs
or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.

Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.

Engineering/Other Technical Positions:Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics(STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
