Merchandiser
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Merchandiser with 1 to 3 years of experience to join our growing team in Ludhiana. The ideal candidate will act as the vital link between our clients and production teams managing the entire garment development and production lifecycle. You will ensure that samples and final products meet client specifications quality standards and delivery timelines.
Account Management: Manage client accounts serving as the primary point of contact for order status specifications and modifications.
Production Tracking: Monitor the entire production process from order placement to final dispatch ensuring timelines are strictly met.
Sampling Coordination: Oversee the development and approval of proto size-set and pre-production samples in coordination with the design and sampling rooms.
Costing & Negotiation: Prepare accurate cost sheets and negotiate pricing with fabric and accessory vendors to maintain target profit margins.
Material Sourcing: Source and follow up on fabrics trims and accessories required for production approvals.
Quality & Compliance: Coordinate with internal QC teams to ensure the final product meets the buyers quality standards.
Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience as a Merchandiser in the garment manufacturing textiles or apparel export industry.
Education: Degree or Diploma in Fashion Designing Apparel Merchandising Textile Technology or a related field.
Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of garment construction fabric types washes printing techniques and production processes.
Skills:
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Proficiency in MS Office (particularly Excel for costing and tracking sheets).
Ability to work under pressure and manage tight delivery deadlines.
Location: Must be based in or willing to commute to Ludhiana Punjab.
