We are seeking a Medical Advisor to join our Immunology Neurosciences EP Medical team. The position is based out of Mumbai India.
As a Medical Advisor your will play a key role in leading and shaping the assigned immunology Neurosciences EP portfolio strategy closely in collaboration cross functionally developing and executing strategic robust and innovative medical plans with impact leading and developing targeted evidence generation strategic plans. You will play a key role on supporting the high performance of the MSL team through guidance and mentorship to partner with account contacts to develop and align the scientific value propositions with scientific leaders informing through science and medicine across local and regional/national networks.
In this role you will also be facilitating pipeline product introduction and in-market registered product access by developing scientific relationships with external stakeholders such as key opinion leaders prescribers nurses allied health professionals patients and special interest groups.
This is a highly collaborative role that requires excellent communication and influencing skills with all internal stakeholders to develop and implement medical strategy and to develop and implement medical plans to enhance the external environment which can provide the fastest access to new products/indications for our patients medical staff and the greater community.
You will represent the Immunology (60%) Neurosciences & EP (40%) TA for medical & scientific affairs on all relevant cross functional teams and internal and external initiatives. The role will require 30% travel to meet important stakeholders gather insights and participate in key medical/scientific meetings/congresses.
Some key responsibilities in this role will include but not limited to:
- Developing a strong Medical Affairs Strategy and Tactical Plan for therapy area in alignment with local organisation Regional & Global overall MAF strategy and providing deep TA expert information and advice to internal teams.
- Close collaboration with key stakeholders from marketing new product portfolio regulatory Med Ed and GCO during local Business Planning and Strategic Planning with overall ownership for the Medical Affairs component of a brand or business unit plan and ensuring medical leadership during Brand & Medical Cross Functional Team meetings to ensure aligment to Medical teams objectives.
- As a key driver stakeholder along with marketing you will provide guidance in the development of promotional educational and disease state materials (including digital slide decks and printed) providing medical advice. You will be responsible for ensuring all materials are developed in compliance with relevant company and Code requirements ensuring timely review and approval for all assigned materials.
- Developing and maintaining KOL engagement strategy
- Uncovering and establishing new parterhsips with key scientific bodies and institutes
- Leading the development of data generation plans and activities to address data gaps to achieve better patient outcomes & aligned overall brand strategy as well as managing safety review for data generation activities.
- Managing all requests and queries from clinicians to access or undrstand J&J Innovative medicines products either directly or by ensuring the relevant function is involved in a timely manner
- Working closely with Marketing / Market Access Medical Education and Training Department to ensure that there is adequate knowledge on individual therapeutic areas / brands
- Mentorship of MSLs
About YOU
Required Qualifications
You will be an industry professional with Medical Degree qualification (MD) along with the passion and drive to work within this exciting and dynamic therapeutic areas with a strong strategic mindset and problem-solving attitude. You will have previous in-field & HO experience as an MSL or medical affairs professional and a track record of high performance in driving KOL engagement and successful medical activities.
You will have a good understanding of clinical research data generation data analysis clinical landscape publications possessing good commercial acumen and history and experience on well-established cross functional collaboration. You will need to be comfortable and experienced in communicating with external stakeholders including clinicians and allied health professionals.
Qualifications - External
Medical Degree (MBBS MD)
Additional public health/business management degree preferred
Experience and Skills:
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare industry
- Good understanding of medical affairs function
- Understanding of local regulatory policy and industrys code of practice related to drug registration pharmaceutical promotion and clinical research.
