We are looking for a Mechanical engineer with demonstrated experience in delivering feasibility concept and detailed design of building services (HVAC Plumbing and Sewage-Drainage) in line with international standards to join our Buildings - MEP team giving you the opportunity to co-create on some of the most prestigious Buildings projects in Scandinavia. This role is ideal for engineers who have a solid foundation in fundamentals eager to learn building services design and capable of delivering high-quality engineering output under guidance.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Prepare feasibility/concept studies and detailed design of HVAC and plumbing installations for building projects.
- Design mechanical services installations using relevant software tools and standards.
- Support model layout development (equipment ducting piping) schematics basic system diagrams and update project content in Revit MEP both with your own initiative and in collaboration with our skilled BIM team.
- Coordinate models across disciplines (architecture electrical plumbing etc.) and ensure clash detection in Revit. Willingness to learn and take technical guidance.
- Ensure quality and compliance with COWIs QA/QC processes to maintain organized documentation and drawing revision.

On top of that you should have:
- Bachelors or masters degree in mechanical engineering with a minimum of 5 years experience in building services design.
- Mechanical design experience in the engineering service sectors including Office Residential Commercial healthcare facilities & Industry.
- Solid technical capability in Heat loss & Cooling load calculations using software like HAP or equivalent Ventilation design calculations Pressure loss and pump head calculations System sizing and equipment selection in accordance with international regulations standards codes. IES VE software knowledge is an added advantage.
- Plumbing design; domestic water calculations and sewage-/drainage sizing in accordance with international codes and regulations.
- Working knowledge of HVAC & Energy analysis Software calculation tools with the ability to integrate these within results into coordinated building designs is good to have
- Documented experience with BIM especially working knowledge in modelling & reporting software Revit Navisworks and AutoCAD experience is required. Familiarity with MagiCad Solibri and Bluebeam is an added advantage.
- Good collaboration skills and a willingness to work in a global team. Ability to work in a team environment and meet deadlines.
