Mechanical Engineer (Bill of Material (BOM), ECN writing)

PACCAR India is looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Pune. Experienced in developing managing and maintaining accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support product development manufacturing processes and adherence to company and regulatory standards.

As a Mechanical Engineer at PACCAR you will leverage your expertise in BOM structure PCMS COPICS Ultimus and ECN Writing to create robust ergonomic and manufacturable solutions. Key Responsibilities:

• Create maintain and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) for new and existing products.
• Ensure accuracy of part numbers descriptions quantities and product structures.
• Review engineering drawings specifications and design changes to update BOMs accordingly.
• Manage BOM revisions and maintain proper version control.
• Coordinate with design manufacturing procurement quality and supply chain teams to ensure BOM accuracy and availability of parts.
• Enter and maintain BOM data in the system
• Support engineering change requests and implement approved changes in BOM records.
• Ensure compliance with company standards documentation requirements and regulatory guidelines.
• Support production and new product introduction by providing accurate material and component information.
• Participate in BOM audits and data validation activities to maintain data integrity.
• Comfortable working in shift (15:00 to 00:30)

Education Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in mechanical Automotive or Production Engineering

Knowledge & Skills REQUIRED:

• 1-3 years of handson experience in Mechanical engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Bill of Materials (BOM) structure including single-level and multi-level BOM
• Experience in BOM creation maintenance and revision control
• Familiarity with engineering change management and change request processes
• Strong skills in data validation data cleansing and documentation control
• Proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis reporting and BOM comparison
• Experience is Creo & Windchill added advantage
