Mechanical BIM
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical BIM Modeler to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will develop and coordinate high-quality Revit models for HVAC and plumbing systems on a wide range of building projects. Working closely with engineers and architects you will play a key role in delivering coordinated designs and construction documentation while supporting BIM standards and continuous process improvement.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop detailed accurate 3D models of mechanical HVAC and plumbing systems using Autodesk Revit in accordance with project scopes and engineering designs.
- Prepare coordinated construction documentation including plans sections schedules details and equipment layouts directly from Revit models.
- Lead and manage spatial coordination and clash detection with structural electrical and architectural disciplines within a central model environment.
- Implement and uphold corporate BIM standards templates and project delivery procedures and assist with initial project setup and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate and collaborate closely with global offshore design centers to ensure seamless workflow model consistency and timely project delivery on large-scale assignments.
- Assist in developing and testing design automation tools workflows and add-ins to improve efficiency across the BIM team while staying current with industry trends.
Qualifications :
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology Building Sciences or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional hands-on experience dedicated to MEP modeling and coordination using Autodesk Revit within the consulting engineering or construction industry.
- Experience working on projects with North America is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of mechanical building systems including HVAC ductwork hydronic piping plumbing systems equipment layouts mechanical rooms and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Proven track record of managing multidisciplinary coordination within a central model environment identifying spatial conflicts and resolving complex routing issues.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across local teams and international offices.
- Ability to work efficiently under tight project deadlines and manage delivery pressures while maintaining technical accuracy.
- Methodical organized approach to troubleshooting model issues and resolving geometric conflicts independently.
- Official Autodesk Revit Certification is considered a strong asset for this role.
Additional Information :
- Advanced technical knowledge of Autodesk Revit Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or BIM 360 Bluebeam Navisworks and common BIM coordination add-ins.
