Summarized Purpose:
We are offering an outstanding opportunity to join Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Sr Engineer Software Quality this role you will drive manual testing initiatives lead a team of engineers and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality software products aligned with organizational standards.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent.
- 8-10 years of testing experience with team leadership.
- Additional relevant certifications in software testing or quality assurance (preferred).
Major Job Responsibilities:
- Lead testing strategy planning and execution.
- Mentor and guide team members professional development.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define quality goals.
- Ensure quality metrics reporting and continuous improvement.
- Oversee test planning execution and defect management.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Advanced proficiency in system testing methodologies and test documentation creation.
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and testing processes.
- Advanced knowledge of test planning execution error reporting and verification procedures.
- Effective project management and organizational skills.
- Experience with API integration and data testing.
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong communication and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in deadline-driven environments.
- Ability to learn and apply new technologies and software platforms.
Must Have Skills:
- Manual testing leadership experience
- Strong testing and defect management expertise
- Agile methodologies
- Team mentoring and stakeholder communication
Good to Have Skills:
- Exposure to automation frameworks
- DevOps/CI-CD understanding
- Domain knowledge (Healthcare/Compliance preferred)
Working Hours:
- India: 05:30 PM to 02:30 AM IST
- Philippines: 08:00 PM to 05:00 AM PHT
