Job Summary
Job Title: Mainframe Developer (COBOL/JCL)

Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Mainframe Developer with hands-on experience in COBOL JCL VSAM and CICS. The candidate will be responsible for developing maintaining and supporting mainframe applications ensuring high performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop enhance and maintain applications using COBOL JCL CICS and VSAM
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Perform coding testing debugging and implementation of mainframe programs
- Work on batch job processing and job scheduling
- Handle production support incident management and issue resolution
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement fixes for recurring issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system enhancements
- Maintain proper documentation for applications and processes
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in COBOL JCL VSAM and CICS
- Good understanding of mainframe architecture and batch processing
- Experience working in production support environments
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of DB2 (preferred)
- Familiarity with job scheduling tools (e.g. Control-M)
Soft Skills:
- Good communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and in a team
